About Our Speaker:
Dea Robinson, PhD, FACMPE, CPC has been in the executive healthcare for over 25 years. Her healthcare subject matter expertise includes practice organizational behavior, medical management operations, cultural assessment and alignment; and cultivating a sustainable health care workforce for the future. During her time of executive leadership, she led three private practice start-ups including numerous consulting projects in all medical specialties. Career highlights include national Director of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) Consulting Services, Executive Director of a 16-year private hospitalist practice in Denver, Colorado, Vice President of Operations in Columbus, Ohio, and President and shareholder of Eight, Inc. a medical management consultancy start-up launched with seven physicians in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Robinson received her PhD in Education with a focus in organizational learning, performance and change from Colorado State University in 2019; and her Master’s Degree in Communication at University of Colorado-Denver in 2004. Her recent doctoral dissertation topic was hospitalist burnout, engagement and the role of social support.
Currently, Dr. Robinson is on full-time faculty as a lecturer in the Master of Health Administration Program at Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado. She believes in actively mentoring the next generation(s) of medical executives and giving back to the profession of medical executives through speaking and support of others in the same endeavor.
